The American borned artist Robert E. Williams was a lover of the Island of Karpathos. He lived in the island for about ten years in the 80's were he made several paintings inspired by the life, culture, and tradition of the island. After he left the island he some of his paintings to Mr. Elias Christodoulou the father of the Art Cafe proprietor Nikos Christodoulou.
Robert E. Williams deseased in 1999 in New Mexico, USA. Most of his paintings can be found in the National Art Gallery, in Athens, Greece.
